H.K. Hummel is the co-author of Short-Form Creative Writing: A Writer’s Guide and Anthology (Bloomsbury, 2018), and the author of two poetry chapbooks: Boytreebird (Finishing Line Press, 2013) and Handmade Boats (Whale Sound, 2010). She is an Assistant Professor of creative writing at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a founding editor of Blood Orange Review. Her poems have recently appeared in Hudson Review, Museum of Americana, Booth, and Iron Horse Review.
